Vintage portrait of military general in uniform dated 1947 by William Clements (1903-1983) of Chingford, Essex. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. English, dated 1947 - World War II era. Not sure if this is a British officer, or possibly American or Canadian. Size of wooden frame: 17.5 x 13.5 inches. Size of painting: 16 x 12 inches. Weight: 1 kg (allow 3.5 kg once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - various superficial marks & scratches and some repairs to canvas on reverse but overall fine and all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
