Vintage original oil painting portrait of Mo Mowlam signed GS 04
£350.00
Original oil painting portrait of Mo Mowlam signed GS 04. Signed with artist's monogram GS and dated 04 (presumably 2004). It was purchased by my husband who was reliably informed that it came from Mo Mowlem's estate after her death in 2005. "Marjorie "Mo" Mowlam was a British Labour Party politician. She was the Member of Parliament for Redcar from 1987 to 2001 and served in the Cabinet as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster" (from Wikipedia). “Mo Mowlam was the catalyst that allowed politics to move forward, which led to the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in April 1998. She cut through conventions and made difficult decisions that gave momentum to political progress.” Oil on canvas. Size: 20 x 16 inches. Weight: 700g (allow 3.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Good condition.
