Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature - looks like Borgman but can't be sure.

Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some damage to canvas with a couple of repairs to reverse, some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso and some restoration to frame but all part of its charm and character.
Priced accordingly.
This painting is quite sombre and melancholy and, although photographed in daylight, please understand that it is quite dark in reality.
Best described as shabby chic.
The frame is not original to the work although the painting has been reframed in an ornate period frame.
