Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame.
Depicts a senior lady in black dress with white shawl and lace cap or bonnet.
There is some handwritten provenance on label on reverse.
Size of frame: 26.5 x 22.5 inches;
Size of canvas: 23.75 x 19.75 inches;
Size of front portrait aperture: 23 x 19 inches.
Weight: 2.7 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some minor restoration, some damage to canvas with a repair to reverse and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character.
Priced accordingly.
