Unsigned but comes in original frame which has "JMW Turner, 1775 to 1851" on gold mount. We are therefore describing it as "In the manner of" or "After" JMW Turner".
Oil on canvas, remounted on new canvas backing. Gilt gesso frame.
Size of frame: 22.75 x 14.75 inches;
Size of canvas: 15.5 x 8 inches;
Size of front painting aperture: 15.25 x 7.75 inches.
Weight: 2.3 kg (allow 7 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches with a small dent in centre of canvas, some minor restoration and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame.
