Antique French faded red gilt display jewellery stand plateau
Antique French faded red gilt display jewellery stand plateau.
French, circa 1890.
Solid piece of wood with gilt edging, faded and worn red velvet top and 4 bun feet.
Size:
base: 9.25 x 7.25 inches; top: 8.75 x 6.75 inches; height: 1.75 inches.
Weight: 642g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Tatty condition, commensurate with age - faded and worn red velvet top, some minor restoration and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gilt edge but all part of its charm and character.
Priced accordingly.
Best described as shabby chic.
A little note about shipping:
This beautiful piece is very old, and its gilt plaster edge is naturally rather delicate. We will pack it with the utmost care to help it reach you safely. That said, it’s possible that fragments of plaster may loosen in transit — this is quite normal for antique frames of this kind. By purchasing, you’re accepting this small risk when shipping by courier. Unfortunately, I’m not able to offer refunds or returns for losses of plaster that may occur in delivery.
