Unsigned, artist unknown, but thought to have been painted by an Englishman on the Ground Tour.
Depicts a gentleman in a 19th Century Albanian or Greek traditional costume.
Oil on tin. Gilt gesso frame.
Size of frame: 17 x 14.25 inches;
Size of portrait: 9.75 x 7 inches;
Size of front portrait aperture: 9.5 x 6.5 inches.
Weight: 2.1 kg (allow up to 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Reasonable condition for its age - various superficial marks & scratches, some minor restoration and sp,e knocks to and pieces missing from frame but all part of its charm and character.
