Large vintage oil painting study of a colliery in the moonlight. English School, circa 1970s. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Wooden frame. Size of frame: 27.5 x 23.5 inches; Size of canvas: 24 x 20 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 23.5 x 19.5 inches. Depicts a industrial scene of a colliery. The painting on reverse is of a factory interior. Weight: 2.1 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable vintage condition - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor damage and paint loss to the canvas but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
