Large antique vintage Scottish river landscape oil painting with fishermans catch of trout signed Kell. British, Scottish, circa 1960s. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a river landscape with fly fisherman's tackle and creel and brace of trout. Size of frame: 32.5 x 25.5 inches; Size of canvas: 27 x 20 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 26.5 x 19.5 inches. Weight: 4 kg (allow up to 15 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, paint loss and an area of damage to canvas with repair to reverse and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
