Large antique Victorian river landscape oil painting of a castle with angler signed S Serpent - UK only. English, circa 1880. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Ornate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a castle and bridge with an angler in the foreground. Size of frame: 40 x 30 inches. Size of canvas: 30 x 20 inches. Weight: 8.1 kg (allow 25 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character Priced accordingly. Collection from London recommended as a large and delicate item but I am willing to deliver within the UK if you are not too far away for a small fee - please ask if possible. Overseas buyers - this is an extremely large item and will be expensive to post. I can obtain a quote for you from Pack & Send or similar courier but please understand it will be very expensive to send abroad. I've only quoted for UK postage to cover the price of a courier.
