Large antique signed French oil painting portrait of senior gentleman in bowtie dated 1857 (2 of 2). French, dated 1857. Signed by the artist but difficult to decipher signature. Oil on canvas, laid on new canvas backing. Depicts a senior gentleman in bowtie with a medical disfigurement to his head - a rather macabre portrait. Size: 25.5 x 21 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 8 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
