Large antique Scottish river landscape oil painting at sunset entitled Auld Brig Old Bridge of Ayr. Scottish School, circa 1850-80. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Depicts an estuary scene at sunset in Ayr, Scotland with the old bridge and a rowing boat in the foreground and sailing ships in the background. Size: 30.75 x 20.5 inches. Weight: 1.4 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some scuffs and lots of blistering to the canvas but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
