Large antique oil painting trio (triptych) of racing pigeons. English, circa 1913 (on reverse of label). Unsigned, artist unknown. Label on reverse with provenance as follows: "Support the National Flying Club Race"; on reverse "1913 Programme, Rennes, June 16th in seven sections" plus a list of other French and English races to take place. Oil on canvas. Wooden (mahogany) frame. Chain to hang. Depicts 3 racing pigeons. Size of frame: 39.5 x 22 inches; Size of canvas: 33 x 15.5 inches; Size of each front painting aperture: 11 x 8.5 inches. Weight: 4.8 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks and scratches and some knocks to mahogany frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. An amazing item, so unique.
