Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a domestic interior scene - a grandmother spinning yarn, helped by grandson, with dog in attendance. Size of frame: 27.5 x 24 inches; Size of portrait: 18 x 14.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 17.75 x 14.25 inches. Weight: 5.5 kg (allow 10 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some flaking and lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Frame is delicate party detached. Collection recommended. Frame included for free. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic or faded grandeur.
