Large antique oil painting interior study of kitchen parlour signed PE Villiers 1894. English, dated 1894. Signed by the artist, Paul Edmond Villiers (British, 1883-1914). "Pump House" underneath signature. Oil on canvas. Depicts a a kitchen/parlour evening scene with table laid with wine glasses, a fire burning in the hearth and hams hanging from the ceiling. The clock on the wall reads 7.50 pm. Size of frame: 39.75 x 27.75 inches; Size of canvas: 36 x 24 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 35.5 x 23.5 inches Weight: 3 kg (allow up to 15 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and several small repairs to reverse of canvas but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
