Large antique Georgian early Victorian oil painting study of a young peasant boy

Large antique Georgian early Victorian oil painting study of a young peasant boy. English, circa 1800-40. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts peasant boy with water jar sitting on rock by stream with mountains in background. Size of frame: 29 x 25.5 inches; Size of canvas: 24 x 20 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 23 x 19 inches. Weight: 4.9 kg (allow up to 15 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and NOTE there is considerable damage to the boy's face; the original canvas has also been re-mounted by a professional restorer. There are also lots of knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
