Large antique French signed river landscape oil painting with cow herder and cows. English, dated 1917. Signed by the artist but difficult to make out signature. Oil on canvas. Gilt frame. Depicts a a river landscape with cows and cow herder on the bank - a bucolic scene. Size of frame:317 x 23.5 inches; Size of canvas: 25.75 x 18 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 25 x 17.5 inches. Weight: 3.3 kg (allow 10-15 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to and pieces missing from gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
