Large antique coastal landscape oil painting of fishing boats on the shore. English School, circa 1880-1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Size: 36 x 27 inches. Depicts fishing boats on the shore with fishermen selling their catch and cliffs and castle in the background. Weight: 1.6 kg (allow up to 15 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some flaking of paint and paint loss especially along lower edge but all part of its charm and character. Please note that, as the paint has started to flake from off the painting already, it is possible that more may flake off later so please be aware of this - thanks. Priced accordingly.
