Antique French long beige grain sack bag with blue and red stripes with patches and mends.
Continental, French, circa 1900.
Made of thick beige linen/cotton hessian with blue and red striped pattern. Lots of holes which have been patched and mended by hand.
Size: 56 x 20 inches.
Weight: 963g (allow 2 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age and use - lots of hand mends and darns (some original, some more recent) but all part of its make do and mend charm and character. A real work of art.
Priced accordingly.
Would make a good bolster or cushion cover.
