Antique wooden oblong clock dome base or jewellery display stand plateau. French, circa 1890. This base would have originally had a glass dome (due to the groove around the edge) and feet (now missing). Size of base: 12.75 x 8 inches; Would fit a glass dome (ie middle of groove to middle of groove): 11.25 x 6.75 inches Weight: 765g (allow up to 2 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various marks & scratches and all feet are missing but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
