Antique wooden clock dome base jewellery display stand or plateau.
French, circa 1890.
Sits on 4 feet - 2 bun and 2 oblong.
This base would have originally had a glass dome (due to the groove around the edge).
Size of base: 14 x 6.75 inches;
Would fit a glass dome (ie middle of groove to middle of groove): 13 x 5.75 inches
Weight: 1.1 kg (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age - various marks & scratches and some damage to trim on edge but all part of its charm and character.
The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate.
Priced accordingly.
