Antique watercolour painting of girl with pitcher at well. Continental in origin, circa 1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Possibly Italian or an Italian subject painted on the Grand Tour. Depicts a girl with colourful hat and shawl going to fill a terracotta water pitcher. Size of mahogany frame: 14.5 x 11.5 inches. Size of painting: 12 x 9.25 inches. Weight: 600g (allow 2.5 kg once packed). Condition commensurat with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to the frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Just for the sake of clarity, please note that this painting is not glazed (which is probably just as well as it would make posting more hazardous and costly).
