Antique vintage oil painting portrait study of a horse. English, circa 1960s. The exact age of the painting is unknown but circa 1960s but it is younger than the frame which is Victorian. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso Victorian frame. Size of frame: 15 x 13.5 inches; Size of panel: 10 x 8 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 9.25 x 7.5 inches. Weight: 2.6 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
