Antique vintage French still life oil painting study of partridges. French School, circa 1960s. Signed with artist monogram but partially obscured by frame - N .... Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame (older than painting). Depicts a couple of game birds - partridges. Size of frame: 16.5 x 13.5 inches; Size of board: 13 x 9.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 12.25 x 9.25 inches. Weight: 1.4 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and significant damage to frame ie lots of knocks to and pieces missing, but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly. Please note this vintage painting has been reframed in an antique frame at some point in its life.
