Antique vintage French handmade black cotton silk bag

Antique vintage French handmade black cotton bag. Cotton/Silk blend. Black cotton/silk outer with patch at bottom, red divided interior with silk lining, buttons to fasten. This was originally used to store a priests gown but can be used for any garment to protect it whilst travelling, or for knitting or sewing. No handle. Size: width: 21 inches; height: 14 inches; depth: 2 inches. Weight: allow 1 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age and use - some hand mends and a large patch added at bottom but all part of its make do and mend charm and character. Priced accordingly.
