Antique Victorian seascape of mariners in rowing boat meeting tall sailing ship signed TTD (1 of 2). English School, circa 1880-1900. Signed with artist's monogram TTD. Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts mariners in rowing boat meeting a tall sailing ship. Size of frame: 14 x 11 inches; Size of painting: 9 x 6 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Weight: 1.2 kg (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some damage to the frame, ie lots of cracks, knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame, but all part of its charm and character.
