Antique Victorian river landscape oil painting signed W Richards. Scottish, circa 1880. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Some provenance on reverse as to where it is painted: "Rock.... Stone" (tricky to decipher). Depicts a a man approaching a ford with croft, Scots pines and mountains in the background. Size of frame: 35 x 25.5 inches; Size of canvas: 30 x 20 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 29.5 x 19.5 inches. Weight: 3.4 kg (allow up to 15 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some areas of damage to canvas with a couple of repairs to reverse but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
