Antique Victorian river landscape oil painting of ruined abbey and cows. English School, circa 1890. Unsigned, artist unknown. Depicts a river with cattle in the shallows and a ruined abbey in the background. Oil on canvas, laid on board. Gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 22.25 x 18 inches. Size of painting: 15.25 x 11.5 inches. Size of front painting aperture: 17.25 x 13 inches. Weight: 2.8 kg (allow 7.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
