Depicts a river landscape of an Italian town in the Alps with arched bridge and tower in the foreground and mountains in the background. Likely to have been painted for tourists on the Grand Tour. Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some damage to canvas with a large and small repair to reverse, minor restoration and some knocks to gilt frame but all part of its charm and character.
