Antique Victorian oil painting study of two terriers chasing a rat (1 of 2). English School, circa 1890-1900. Oil on board. Elaborate carved gesso frame (some damage). Size of frame: 13.75 x 12 inches; Size of painting: 8 x 6.25 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 7.75 x 5.75 inches. Weight: 837g (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from the frame (particularly at one corner) but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic or faded grandeur.
