Antique Victorian oil painting study of sheep ewe and lamb. English School, dated 1860. Unsigned, artist unknown (but the name Morris and dated 1860 on reverse). Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. A ewe and her lamb taking shelter on moorland. Size of frame: 16 x 13.5 inches; Size of painting: 13.5 x 11 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 12.75 x 10.25 inches. Weight: 1.10 kg (allow 3 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - various superficial marks & scratches and some minor knocks to frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
