Antique Victorian oil painting study of peasant children gathering sticks. English, circa 1840-80. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts two girls and boy gathering sticks - the boy has hurt his foot and the girls are tending to him. Size of frame: 14.25 x 13 inches. Size of painting: 9.25 x 7.75 inches. Weight: 1 kg (allow 3.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
