Antique Victorian oil painting study of farrier with horse (1 of 2). English School, dated 1869 (on 2nd of pair). Unsigned, artist unknown. (2nd in pair is signed but tricky to decipher signature). Oil on panel. Gilt frame. Depicts a village scene with farrier and horses. Size of frame: 10 x 10 inches; Size of panel: 8 x 8 inches; Diameter of front painting aperture: 5.25 inches. Weight: 468g (allow 2 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
