Antique Victorian oil painting study of aristocratic parlour scene. English School, circa 1880-1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts some aristocrats sitting around a table with decanter of wine and fruit - a typical 17th Century scene but the painting is later. Size of frame: 19.5 x 17.5 inches; Size of panel: 11.5 x 9.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 10.5 x 8.5 inches. Weight: 3.1 kg (allow 8 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame and sone restoration work particularly at one corner but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
