Antique Victorian oil painting portrait of girl in headscarf and apron on the beach. English School, circa 1860-90. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a girl in a red and white headscarf and blue apron, standing on the shore. Size of frame: 14.75 x 12.75 inches; Size of canvas: 8.25 x 6 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 8 x 6 inches. Weight: 1.6 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some damage to gold mount but otherwise fine and all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
