Antique Victorian oil painting comical study of boy and dog - boy falling down some steps with dog stealing his dinner. English School, circa 1860-90. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on board. Gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 15 x 13.5 inches; Size of portrait: 8 x 6.5 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 7.5 x 6.25 inches. Weight: 1.4 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some minor restoration and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
