Antique Victorian copper half gallon measure. English. Circa 1840-60. Assay mark on neck. Capacity: 1/2 gallon. Concave base. Size: height: 8.25 inches; base diameter: 7.5 inches; top external diameter: 4 inches; internal diameter: 2 inches. Weight: 1.1 kg (allow 4 kg volumetric weight once packed). Would originally have been from a large prosperous household or country estate kitchen. Would make an ideal plant watering jug or great display item. Condition commensurate with age and use - various marks & scratches and some dings & dents but all part of its character and charm. Priced accordingly.
