Antique Victorian brass apothecary box scales. English, circa 1890. No maker's name apparent. Brass scales mechanism with mahogany base and drawer. Size: Box base: 12.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 inches; Diameter of brass dish: 4.5 inches; Total height (of centre): 14.5 inches. Weight: 1.5 kg (allow up to 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches, drawer knob has half missing, there is a lever missing (so incomplete) and needs re-stringing and some general restoration so best described as a display item only. Priced accordingly.
