Antique still life oil painting study of poppies and daisies by S Prat. English, circa 1920s. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 25.5 x 19.5 inches; Size of canvas: 18.5 x 12.75 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 17.5 x 11.5 inches. Weight: 2.8 kg (allow 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks and scratches and some cracks, knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. The frame is not original to the work although the painting has been reframed in an ornate period frame. Priced accordingly.
