Antique still life oil painting study of fruit grapes plums and apple signed C Cheshire 1919. English, dated 1919. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Gilt frame (distressed). Depicts a bunch of grapes and an apple. Size of frame: 15.5 x 13.5 inches; Size of canvas: 12 x 10 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Weight: 1.85 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Tatty, distressed condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and a significant amount of damage to the gesso frame ie all the decorative pieces missing at each corner and lots of pieces of gesso missing all over but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged.
