Antique still life oil painting study of fruit and flowers (2 of 2). English School, circa 1900- Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts fruit (apple, pear, pineapple and grapes) and flowers (dog roses). Size of frame: 19.75 x 15.5 inches; Size of canvas: 16 x 11.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.5 x 9.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 6 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and scuffs to canvas and various minor knocks to gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
