Antique signed seascape oil painting of Babbacombe Bay, Devon, England, entitled "The Return of the Boat". English, circa 1900. Signed by the artist (but hard to make out signature). Oil on canvas. "The Return of the Boat" and "Babbacombe" written on reverse. Depicts fishing boats and fisherman in bay, with gulls and cliffs. Size : 18 x 14 inches. Weight: 650g (allow 4.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some craquelure and paint loss but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic.
