Antique signed landscape oil painting study of coach and horses (1 of 2). English School, circa 1890-1900. Signed by the artist but tricky to decipher signature. Oil on board. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts a four horses pulling a coach, with the catastrophic loss of a wheel. Size of frame: 22 x 14 inches. Size of painting: 14.75 x 7 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 14.25 x 6.25 inches. Weight: 1.9 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
