Antique seascape of tall sailing ships off the coast signed EK Redmore. English, circa 1920s. Signed by the artist, Edward King Redmore (British,1860-1941). Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts tall sailing ships off the coast. Size of frame: 18 x 15 inches; Size of canvas: 12 x 9 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 11.5 x 8.25 inches. Weight: 2.27 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. The antique wood of this item has had a minor woodworm infestation at some point in its long life. However, this has now been specially treated to eradicate. Priced accordingly.
