Antique Scottish oil painting portrait study of a man with moustache and hat. Scottish School, circa 1900. Unsigned, artist unknown. Oil on canvas. Gilt gesso frame. Depicts a man with large moustache and red hat, possibly a gypsy. Size of frame: 24 x 20 inches; Size of canvas: 18 x 14 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 17.5 x 13.5 inches. Weight: 3.3 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some minor splits and superficial damage to canvas with a repair to reverse and some minor knocks to and pieces missing from gilt frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
