Antique Scottish oil painting portrait of a boy in traditional dress signed W Harris. Scottish, circa 1850-90. Signed by the artist. Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Size of frame: 16 x 14 inches; Size of panel: 9 x 7 inches; Size of front portrait aperture: 8.25 x 6.5 inches. Weight: 1.8 kg (allow up to 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - some minor damage to frame ie a few small knocks and cracks to gesso but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
