Antique Scottish landscape oil painting of Loch An-Eilan by Copley Fielding. Scottish, circa 1840-50. Name of loch and artist is on the frame insert. Copley Fielding is an artist born in England (United Kingdom) in 1787 and deceased in 1855. Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts loch and mountains with figures on the path. Size of frame: 20 x 17 inches; Size of canvas: 14.5 x 11.5 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 11.5 x 8.5 inches. Weight: 2.4 kg (allow up to 10 kg volumetric weight once packed). Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and various cracks, knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character.
