Antique salesman's miniature brass fireplace hearth/fender or large dolls house fender (no 2). I'm guessing this was a manufacturer's sample for a salesman to take around with him. Either that, or this was intended as a child's plaything (although from a very wealthy family!) Size: 8.5 x 1.75 inches; height 1 inch. Weight: allow 1 kg once packed. Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
