Antique river landscape oil painting with horses and cart signed Jennie Evans 1908. English, dated 1908. Signed by the artist. Oil on canvas. Distressed gilt gesso frame. Depicts horses and cart on track by river with church in the background. Size of frame: 26.5 x 15 inches; Size of canvas: 22 x 10 inches; Size of front aperture: 21.5 x 9.5 inches. Weight: 2.5 kg (allow 7.5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Tatty condition, commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, some damage to canvas with a couple of repairs to reverse and lots of damage to gesso frame ie knocks to and pieces missing but all part of its character and charm. Priced accordingly. Best described as shabby chic. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
