Antique river landscape oil painting with horse and cart signed Henry Harris. English, circa 1900-10. Signed by the artist, Henry Harris (British,1852-1926). Oil on canvas. Elaborate gilt gesso frame. Depicts farmers with horse and cart. Size of frame: 19.75 x 14.5 inches; Size of canvas: 13.75 x 8.25 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 13.25 x 7.75 inches. Weight: 1.7 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed). Reasonable condition for its age - various superficial marks & scratches, some minor craquelure and some minor knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier.
